PecanTrust Microfinance Bank Limited is a Central Bank of Nigeria Licensed, for-profit making institution dedicated to supporting early stage, small and medium-sized enterprises ‘SME’, the informal working class and low income families through providing access to finance, entrepreneurship training, a network of mentors and facilitating business partnerships.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Operations Assistant

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• The Operations Assistant is required for the key function of serving customers by completing account transactions.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers into the banking hall.


• Opening of customer accounts and regular customer engagement.


• Answering phone calls from customers and vendors.


• Attending to customer complaints and inquiries both in person and over the phone.


• Procuring vendors and negotiating prices.


• Collating information as directed.


• Providing account services to customers by receiving deposits, loan repayments and issuing withdrawals.


• Cross-sells bank products by responding to inquiries, ascertaining customers’ needs, informing customers of new services and product promotions.


• Accurately posting transactions.


• Daily balancing and reconciling.


• Counting cash, turning in excess cash and ensuring currency legitimacy.


• Reporting shortages.


• Complying with bank operations and security procedures by participating in all dual-control functions.


• Maintaining customer confidence and protecting bank operations by keeping information confidential.


• Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Requirements

• BSc in a reputable university


• Banking experience would be an added advantage


• Customer service skill, presentable, organized, detail-oriented and can work in a fast-paced environment


• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
