We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Fiber Technician

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

• Splicing and Testing of Fiber optic cables.


• Termination of fibre cable on ODF/Patch panel.


• Analyze and convert OTDR report into a readable format.


• Acts as a fibre project engineer during project implementation.


• Ensures installations conform to the plans and to telecoms industry standards, specifications and regulations.


• Assists with developing and improving a set of standards and specifications for the installation of optic fibre.


• Perform fibre maintenance.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of OND, HND, B.SC, in any Engineering field.


• At least 2-4 years Telecommunications industry experience of which 2 years of splicing, Termination and testing of Optical Fiber Cable.


• Extensive knowledge of ODF’s assemblies, installations.


• Extensive knowledge of splicing machine, OTDR, Light source and power meter usage.


• Experience with Vendor Service Level management


• Experience in the calculation of loss budget


• Experience in communication and public relations.
